Are we compatible? A quiz that measures both of you, not just one
Compatibility is not a percentage, and a quiz that gives you one is generating it from one person's answers about two people. What can actually be measured is the gap: where your expectations differ, how each of you behaves when the relationship feels unsafe, and whether conflict between you ends in repair. That needs both sets of answers. Start free on your own with the attachment and love language tests, then take the two-sided test when you want the comparison.
Compatibility is a gap between two sets of answers. One person cannot supply both.

Why one-sided compatibility scores fail
A single-person quiz has to ask you to answer for your partner, which means the result is a reading of your assumptions. When the assumptions are wrong, the score is confidently wrong in the same direction, and it feels accurate because it agrees with the person who supplied it.
The second problem is timing. Answering after a bad week produces a low score, and after a holiday produces a high one, which is why a single number taken at one moment is closer to a mood reading than a compatibility measure.
What is worth measuring instead
- Attachment pairing: what each of you does when the relationship feels threatened. The anxious-avoidant combination generates the most recognisable loop, and it is invisible if only one of you answers.
- Repair: whether an argument ends in reconnection or simply stops. The single most informative thing a couple can look at.
- Stated expectations: money, family authority, children, location, faith and roles, sorted as aligned, negotiable or in conflict.
- Closeness and respect: whether you are known by each other, and whether you are still spoken to as equals.
Start free, on your own
Two free tests give you a real reading of your own side before anybody pays for anything. The attachment style quiz scores attachment anxiety and avoidance separately, then names the style they add up to. The love language test ranks all five channels rather than declaring one winner, so you see your lowest as well as your highest.
Taking either one separately and then comparing notes is genuinely useful, and it is free. The two-sided test exists for when you want that comparison done properly rather than over a conversation.
Common questions
Are compatibility quizzes accurate?
Single-person quizzes are not, for a structural reason: one person cannot report on two people's expectations, and the score ends up measuring how they currently feel rather than how the pair fits. Two-sided measurement is different, because the useful information is in the size and direction of the gaps between two independent sets of answers.
What actually predicts whether a couple works?
Whether conflict ends in repair, whether respect holds, whether attachment patterns collide, and whether expectations about money, family authority, children, location, faith and roles have been stated rather than assumed. Shared hobbies and matched personality types predict very little by comparison.
Can we take it for free?
Yes for the single-person self-checks: the attachment style quiz, the love language test and the relationship doubt check are all free with instant results and no sign-up. The two-sided test is also free to answer - both of you complete it first, and USD 49 is only due once both sides are in and the joint report is ready.
Does my partner see my answers?
No. You each answer privately. The joint report shows scores, gaps and readings for both sides, never the raw answers either of you gave.
How long does it take?
The free self-checks are three to five minutes each. The two-sided test is 44 questions and about ten minutes per person, taken separately, on your own phones.
We are considering marriage rather than dating. Same quiz?
There are two versions. The Couples Relationship Test is for people already together and reads the pattern between you. The Marriage Compatibility Test is for people deciding whether to marry, including arranged-marriage introductions, and weights the untested expectations that matter most at that point.
